Revd Dr Russ Parker - Associate Minister

Russ was ordained in 1981 having previously served as a Baptist Pastor in Merseyside where he was born.   He is married to Roz and has two adult children and three grandchildren.   He served his curacy in Bolton and was Vicar in Coalville in Leicester before joining the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation in 1990.   He remained with them for 24 years and was their International Director for 18 years.  He has authored 16 books and is a co-founder of the Community of Aidan and Hilda.  Russ is now the Director of 2Restore which is a reconciliation resource for healing wounded churches.

Karen Fewster - Churchwarden

Karen is married to Andy and has lived in Rowledge for 16 years. They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She has lived in the local area for all of her adult life having graduated from Surrey University in 1973 and never moved away. She loves time away in Wally (motorhome), live music, family get togethers and gardening. She has been a regular attendee at St James' Church in recent years and a member of PCC for 3 years, is chair of the Christian Aid Farnham group and a trustee of Rowledge Village Hall.

Clive Jourdain - Churchwarden

Clive has lived in Rowledge for 45 years and St. James has been the focus of all the important events in the life of his family. Married to Jackie, they are blessed with six children and eleven grandchildren who keep them very active!  Both have enjoyed sailing since small but, having recently discovered they have grown up, have taken up the equally masochistic sport of golf!

Clare Marren - Minister in Training

Clare is on placement at St. James' Church for two years as she trains for full time ministry.  Clare has three children and a very excitable springer spaniel!  She is studying at St. Augustine's College, London.  Clare is involved in all aspects of ministry, but has a particular interest in supporting the pastoral care of older people.

Becky Porter - Parish Safeguarding Officer

Becky has considerable experience as a senior social worker.  She also holds qualifications in couselling.  Becky oversees all aspects of safeguarding in the parish church.

Andy Fewster - PCC Treasurer

Andy was brought up in rural Yorkshire. After studying at Cambridge University and Lancaster University Management School he worked in the steel and paper industries, then for 23 years for a large global insurance broking company in London - in roles morphing from operational research through IT and finance to general management.  Andy and wife Karen moved to Rowledge in 2004.  They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.  Since retiring Andy has spent time as trustee for a charity care home and helped organise marathons for charity; played lots of croquet and a little golf; and travelled as much as possible.

Amber Delves - Little Fishes Nursery School Manager

Amber has recently joined the Little Fishes team and comes to us with over 27 years of experience working in a wide range of teaching and educational management roles, including in pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, churches and other community contexts.

Amber has a passion for education and the community.  She has a keen interest in developing people, supporting families, outside education (such as developing forest schools) and helping children understand the crucial importance of caring for our environment.

Amber is married to Steve and together they have three (grown up) children, Bethan, studying at Nottingham University and twins, Molly and Callum, who are about to start their gap years.
