Revd Russ Gant - Vicar

Russ has been Vicar of St. James' since 2016 and is married to Jenny.  They have two daughters Annabelle and Elizabeth.  Russ is a native of Suffolk and became a Christian (to his surprise) after attending an Alpha Course in 2003.  Before he became a Vicar he worked in local government.  Russ trained for ministry at Cranmer Hall, Durham.  He loves railways (geek), gardening and meals with friends.  He has recently started trying to play golf!  Russ also leads the Surrey South Area Leaders' Network for New Wine.

Revd Dr Russ Parker - Associate Minister

Russ was ordained in 1981 having previously served as a Baptist Pastor in Merseyside where he was born.   He is married to Roz and has two adult children and three grandchildren.   He served his curacy in Bolton and was Vicar in Coalville in Leicester before joining the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation in 1990.   He remained with them for 24 years and was their International Director for 18 years.  He has authored 16 books and is a co-founder of the Community of Aidan and Hilda.  Russ is now the Director of 2Restore which is a reconciliation resource for healing wounded churches.

Karen Fewster - Churchwarden

Karen is married to Andy and has lived in Rowledge for 16 years. They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. She has lived in the local area for all of her adult life having graduated from Surrey University in 1973 and never moved away. She loves time away in Wally (motorhome), live music, family get togethers and gardening. She has been a regular attendee at St James' Church in recent years and a member of PCC for 3 years, is chair of the Christian Aid Farnham group and a trustee of Rowledge Village Hall.

Clive Jourdain - Churchwarden

Clive has lived in Rowledge for 45 years and St. James has been the focus of all the important events in the life of his family. Married to Jackie, they are blessed with six children and eleven grandchildren who keep them very active!  Both have enjoyed sailing since small but, having recently discovered they have grown up, have taken up the equally masochistic sport of golf!

Beth Mead - Children's Ministry Student

Beth is incredibly passionate about Children's ministry and has been working with young children since she herself was just 10 years old. Beth is currently studying theology at Ridley Hall College, Cambridge, alongside her placement with the children of St. James'. She is going into her third year and starting her dissertation work on how play helps children connect to Jesus. Beth grew up in Surrey and has been a Christian since she was a child, choosing to be baptised at the age of 13. Beth really loves caring for the environment, Harry Potter, anything historical (especially castles!) and Hamilton the musical.

Natasha Dean - Parish Safeguarding Officer

Tasha has been a member of the church here since 2016. She is married to Steve and has two sons.  She has been a social worker for over 20 years and has worked in social care, education and the NHS. She specialises in safeguarding and mental health.  Tasha loves sunny holidays, cooking and having friends over for meals. She also loves her cats, Jurassic Park and (inexplicably) collects wooden spoons!

Andy Fewster - PCC Treasurer

Andy was brought up in rural Yorkshire.  After studying at Cambridge University and Lancaster University Management School he worked in the steel and paper industries, then for 23 years for a large global insurance broking company in London - in roles morphing from operational research through IT and finance to general management.  Andy and wife Karen moved to Rowledge in 2004.  They have 4 children and 5 grandchildren.  Since retiring Andy has spent time as trustee for a charity care home and helped organise marathons for charity; played lots of croquet and a little golf; and travelled as much as possible.
