Students & Young Adults

Students & Young Adults - new to the area!

At St James' there are many ways in which students and young adults can get involved in the life of the church.  We are a community that values and welcomes young adults, whether you are studying or working, and we would love to get to know you!

One of the best ways to get involved in the worshipping life of our community is our Sunday 10:45am worship service.  Here we combine worship, prayer and teaching in a more informal setting, followed by tea, coffee and of course plenty of biscuits afterwards!

We are aware that for many people, it is in a smaller context that faith is best nurtured.  We have a number of life groups at St James' including those that specifically welcome people in their twenties and thirties.  These provide an opportunity to get to know one another, to encourage each other on our spiritual journeys, and to have fun!

Whether you are new to the area and looking for a church to call home during term time, or wanting to find out more about who Jesus is and what it means to be a Christian, we'd love to meet you.  Please get in touch with Revd Russ  and come along and find out more about St James'.

St James' Church Family Young Adults - leaving for pastures new!

We continue to support our students and young adults through prayer while they are away from home, studying and working.  It is always wonderful to welcome them home to St James’ during the  holidays.  If you would like to continue to receive our prayer and pastoral support please talk to Avril Capper who can add you to the student prayer list and keep in touch.
